Yup, it's time to start planning the next trip with EFTours. Cuba (2016) is already booked and filled. Next adventure for summer 2017 is a service project trip to ***drumroll*** Nicaragua!!!  Below is a sample itinerary:

Your Service Project Themes
We work with the award-winning charity Free The Children to better understand the needs of each community and then focus projects on those issues. Themes include:
  • Education
  • Health
  • Clean Water and Sanitation
  • Alternative Income and Livelihood
  • Agriculture and Food Security

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN MANAGUA
Meet your Field Director at the airport and travel to your accommodations.

DAY 2: GRANADA
  • Travel to Granada for a guided sightseeing tour of this 16th century city. Local markets, Moorish and Andalusian architecture, colorful buildings and ocean views abound.
  • Visit a nearby indigenous community where your service work will take place. You’ll meet with locals and attend a group orientation.

DAYS 3-7: SERVICE PROJECT — FREE THE CHILDREN COMMUNITY
As communities evolve so do their needs. That’s why we work closely with Free The Children to better understand the local challenges. Since projects are determined closer to your actual tour date, here’s a glimpse at what a typical day might look like.
  • Each morning, you’ll begin your service project in a nearby village.
  • Spend afternoons immersed in cultural activities.
  • Evenings are a chance to reflect, discuss events as a group, and draw connections between the day’s work and relevant global issues.

DAY 8 – TRAVEL TO MANAGUA, DEPART FOR HOME

ADD 2-DAY TOUR EXTENSION

DAYS 8-10: BEACH RETREAT
  • Add a retreat to a coastal community for beach, BBQ and relaxation.
